Death will come when it will come

Tragic news that came to me from a non blood related family member urged me to write this post today.

Death from the begininng of creation has been with mankind. From the era of Adam & Eve to this very day, death has been infinitely uncompassionate to many people and it continues its deprivation of human lives - some of the people lost to us took us through some very personal experiences and journeys, others have been at arms length experience. But close or not when death strikes, it takes us to a state of desponency, it brings sorrows and griefs, heartaches, it creates vaccum in our lives and these amongst many others are the traits that accompany death on its journey through life. It comes in to steal from us, dent our hopes and joy and leaves a mark which forever reminds us of the people we have lost, leaving behind the uncertainty that our paths may never cross again. Such are the tragedies which death presents when it knocks on your door.

I am of the of 21st century with none so ever an experience of the centuries before my time. With such impossibility to live those era I ask my self baffling questions...was death as rampant as it is now in those centuries? was it a destroyer of future leaders by taking away the noble, the young and the vulnerable? Factually death is no respecter of person, young, old, vulnerable or not it will come when it will come.

More often than not we hear of the depriving of life by death, in the news media, our localities, within ones family as well as the worldwide platforms, death keeps knocking on doors. Is it because we are ever so much conscious of its existence than have been in the past, or we give death so much credit that we are crippled by the fear of it? It instills an enormous fear in us knowing that we are afraid to die, our hearts are in our mouth whenever we hear of the tragic news of death with that instant reminder that we could well be the next but unknowingly when it will befall us. The fear of the unknown has sent most of us down under on countless occasions before we eventually take that kiss of death. Julius Caeser said "cowards died many times before their death"...I think death really has nothing to do with being bold because boldness is irrelevant to death itself.

Maybe if we didnt fear so much, death will acknowledge and back off and leave us alone?? Or perhaps if we embraced it, it would hurt much less as it does now when it strikes. However death will not back off! it is practically impossible! For those that believe in the scriptures of God, The Bible, it makes it crystal clear that "it is appointed for man (mankind) to die once, after which comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). This reinforces the inevitability of death faced by all human beings - from the greatest to the least, the rich to the poor, old to the young, strong to the weak, death is the only woe guaranteed in life! Scary but a fact of life! Julius Caesar again said and quoting "it seems to me most strange that men should fear, seeing that death a neccessary end will come when it will come" Death did not disconcert him, in fact he embraced it when his time came.

Some faiths believe there is a place prepared after death and that this world is a temporary destination. There is a place of eternal life and peace subject accordingly to our works on this earth and we shall pass through this world only but once. How we exit this world takes many different forms. Mohammed Ali ( The Greatest Boxer of our time) in his prime was questioned by a young kid on a talk show what he will do after he's through with his career. After putting his answer into what appeared to be a lengthy perspective, the upshot of it all was that he will spend his remainng life preparing to meet his maker and creator.

Many of us will not have the priviledge to live longer in this life to realise what we set our hearts and minds to achieve. And if there is the belief that there is another place to go when we die and where we go is dependant on our works and deeds in this temporary world, then knowing that death, our worst adversary, is inconsiderate and inevitable to us and knowing that it can strike at anytime and whenever it chooses, then we would live each day as if it was our last on this earth and prepare to meet our maker and creator. Because we could be here and in a 'ding' we would be gone! The one person known to have defeated death - The Lord Jesus Christ didn't give us the insight to what's like to be dead or to be down and under, but he gave hope that being dead in the flesh doesn't matter because that's all death can have of us if we have eternal life and peace which surpass death. Eventhough some may understand why we die, death is something we can never come to terms with in a milion years, for losing someone is incomparable to other woes of life!

My heart and most deepest thoughts go out to all those that have ever lost someone, I have been there and experienced it so I know and feel your pain and suffering - my special thoughts and prayers to the families of all the deceased passengers who were on the mysterious disappearance of the Malaysian Airline Flight MH370. May God keep you and fill any vaccum you have sustained as a result

MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PERFECT PEACE!!!
