My Highlights of the year, thus far~

Image
W ow, its been donkey's years since I updated MrCoxy's blog ! The year is been great although I couldn't say I remember exactly how it started but I'm optimistic it was a pretty sound inception. Certainly we will see it through to a great a finish - The global economy down turn has got everyone on the edge but hold fast because better days are ahead. It's never always going to be this worse, I can assure you of that...my mama always say "no condition is permanent" ...and she is damn right as what follows next from here no doubt confirms it!! Permit me to expedite...so the year is nearing the end...I'm sure folks are getting ready to embrace Christmas...and that's if you celebrate! Fact is the year can't come to an end without Christmas so who are fooling when you say Christmas doesn't concern you? Whether one celebrates or not I'm quite certain one wouldn't mind to sink ones teeth in a juicy, succulent, well stuffed and sensi...

Quote of the day~

You know when it comes to racism, people say: "I don't care if they're black, white, purple or green." Woah, hold on now! Purple or green? You gotta draw the line somewhere! To hell with purple people! - Unless they're suffocating - then help'em. —  Mitch Hedberg

At Last~

Image
S o RVP has at last arrived at the Old Trafford where he's destined to be? How great! His admiration for the red devils wasn't one of the obvious but the captured story thus far without doubts tell you exactly where his heart belonged - Strong and solid clubs like Juventus, Chelsea, City and the list is endless all wanted a piece of the maestro. As tearful as it may be for the Arsenal fans, I think its honourable to respect his decision and appreciate and not antagonize this talented player. After all with that great efficacy coming from him, Arsenal was able to finish 3rd on the table last season. There comes a time when one must move on - and this time it's RVPs time Welcome to Old Trafford RVP , welcome home because home is where one is able to realise great dreams and Papa Ferguson will ensure that this is achieved!

The life we live...

Image
The life we live is not a race, although sometimes it may appear to be so ...but take heed and don't be fooled by fallacies and inconspicuous promises, stick to your lane and pace yourself; have a plan and set yourself objectives - (short & long terms); set goals towards your objectives in life; diligently seek to accomplish each goal - small or big that is irrelevant but be advised that some goals are easily achieved than others; count your blessings each morning, review your yourself each day and mark off your progress; Rome was not built in day so take baby steps; b e content with what you have although strive to achieve more and don't get too comfortable; make the sky your limit; take no negative vibes but be ware of them; embrace positivity; don't envy others instead appreciate all and think of nothing but good on others...understand the basic principles of life; be ready to face challenges, foresee your successes and expect them. ..Life and death lies on the ...

Food for thought~

H opefully y’all had a great weekend…well guess what? It’s Monday, get with it! To relieve us a little of our ‘Monday blues’ lets start by saying – “he who begins too much accomplishes little” So no matter how much you’ve got on today, let’s just take baby steps shall we, b’cuz ‘ little by little the chicken will quench its thirst’ .

Pre April Fools Joke~

Image
S o my sister shared a little joke with me this morning as I drove to work. Due to its abnormality and humorous nature at the same time I thought I would share with you...so it goes like this - As the norm goes we celebrate 'April Fool' on 1st day of April - So its April 1st and you walked in to find your partner naked in bed with your best mate with used condoms all over on the floor - so they screamed loudly as you walked in "April fool"!! Question - what would you do?

Monday Blues~

Image
Hello Readers & Bloggers alike, I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I'm one of the lot that strongly and infrequently feel like Mondays should be an extended weekend because the weekend is just not long enough to fulfil the weekend activities. So I get to work on a Monday morning feeling like a zombie - a self imposed punishment for going to bed late. Acting like everybody owes me a big breakfast with all the necessary trimmings...hmmm! Well if you can relate to this then guess what?...I got a message for you and me...No one owes us 'jack' ! I think what we must do is to wake up and smell the strong aromatic fragrance of a strong coffee - perhaps black with no sugar; Yes - no sugar no cream - that has the 'UMPH' you need to pick you up quick and set you on the path of dealing with the usual Monday stuff just as you should. Mondays are going no where, and thus the only way is to get a grip and deal with it and stop wallowing in your Monday Blues! What...

Arsenal triumphs!

So Arsenal triumphs over Newcastle final score 2:1...FairPlay and credits to Arsenal...they seemed to have got their 'mojo' back and seemed to be on course to overtake arch rival Tottenham for the 3rd place...this win means they trail tottenham by 1 point...incredible play and brilliant counter attacks by the gunners...it suffices to say that it was just a matter of time when Arsenal would get the finisher. Such perseverance and resilience from the Arsene Wenger boys make them worthy winners... For me Arsenal seems to have regained their confidence and this game between them and Newcastle saw it off...a choking defeat for the magpies...I guess it's back to the drawing board for Mr Pardew! Well done Arsenal!

Man 'RooNited'~

Man United has once again proved to crictics that the spirit of never say die has not yet left the red devils. Whilst Wayne Rooney blasted 2 goals past the West Bromwich keeper to see the champions once again reclaim their rightful place at the top of the EPL, their proven tough rivals - City trailed by a goal to the defiant Swansea. It is no surprise that the league is a 2 horse race in the interim- United has the experience, they have been here before - is no news and certainly not fresh waters. As the Boss man Sir Alex told BBC sports - "We won't get nervous. We have the experience" United continues to show resilience and determination - traits you cannot just acquire from the Dalston Market!! Come on UNITED!!! Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says his side will hold their nerve
