Careless words cost lives...

This goes on to say that when one hears something of a negative vibe about someone, one has to be careful and tread right lest one jumps to a catastrophic conclusion. What do we do then? We ask ourselves 4 significant questions...

First
Is it true? You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour, a very strong etiqutte backed solidly by the Bible. Until you're certain its true, say nothing; it pays to wait as time always reveals the truth.

Second
Is it confidential? Did you hear it as a result of someone else's having a broken confidence? Its important to remember that 'whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered' (Prov 11:13 ESV)

Third
Is it helpful? You have to ask yourself this question, "will it tear others up or build them up"? Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs...Will it be beneficial and encouraging to those who hear it?

Fourth
Is it necessary? Stop and ask yourself, what do others gain by my saying it, or lose by my not saying it? Always keep this in mind; that  you are more likely to regret the things you said than the things you didn't

Now a little word of wisdom...' A fool utters all his mind, but a wise man keeps it in till afterwards'

LET'S BE WISE AND CAREFUL OF WHAT WE SAY
