Yesterday marked a memorable day in history as the Black Stars of Ghana took on the Lions of England on a long awaited game of  'footie' in the history of both the Ghanaian and the English football. As anticipated an impressive number of Ghanaians travelled from around the world to the spectacular wembley stadium to tattoo this red letter day in their memory.

What a sensational and flamboyant astmosphere it was in the stadium...The Ghanaians proved beyond reasonable doubt that football is indeed mixed with the african blood...the support was live and wild...the fans were full and in high spirits and echoes of the Ghanaian fans travelled above and beyond the stadium. It was once in a life time experience if you claim to be a Ghanaian, a fan of football or not, on this day you should have been there with no excuses.

Many who for whatever reason could not make it I believe supported morally as well as passionately behind the millions of television sets around the world and celebrated ungovernably. There were few criticism pre inception of the game of how the England Boss - Capello, believed by many Ghanaians as he Capello underestimating the Ghanaian side. As a result relinquishing his team A and rather playing with team B side...What Ghanaians have to understand and embrace was that whether team B, D, Q or even Z or whatever, bottom line is playing against England as a team not just an individual was what matters. Of course there was still a few that bickered about how people paid to see the likes of Rooney, Terry and Cole...

The game began with an impressive performance from the English side and with a goal down by the Ghanaians nearer to first half...the never 'say die' attitude and the burning fire within the stars in the second half saw and proved that the ghanaians are worthy opponent as they dropped it like its hot in the 90th minute with baby jet bringing it home to level up the score...what a jubilation henceforth!...

All in all the English dominated and retained their unbeaten streak~ the good news is the stars did not lose their sparkle by losing the game--Sky News reported by far it was the biggest international friendly game with over 20000s tickets sold to the Ghanaians - capacity in the evening was over a flipping 80000 people...
